1. Introduction and scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Sentez Inc. ("Sentez," "Textopia," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the Textopia mobile application, website and related support services.

Textopia is an AI companion and chat entertainment app. All matches, profiles and conversations are generated by artificial intelligence — the characters you meet are fictional and are not real people.

Textopia is rated 17+ and intended only for users old enough to use it under Apple's guidelines and the laws of their country. By using the service you acknowledge your information may be processed as described below.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide during onboarding and use, plus certain technical data from your device.

• Profile setup: your first name or nickname, gender, who you're interested in, and your birthday (used for age gating).
• Preference data: the character types/tropes you select and your chosen spice level (Soft, Hot or Extra).
• Optional profile photo and bio you add to your Textopia profile.
• Chat content: messages you send to AI characters and the responses generated for you.
• Progress data: match list, bond levels and XP, unlocked photos, completed dates and gem balance.
• Purchase data: gem packs and Plus subscription state received from Apple and our subscription provider.
• Device and technical data: device model, OS version, app version, language, IP-derived region, crash logs and diagnostics.
• Usage data: screens viewed, feature interactions, session timing and notification engagement.
• App Tracking Transparency (ATT) attribution identifiers when you opt in.

3. AI-generated characters and content

Every match on Textopia is a fictional AI character. Character names, bios, photos and messages are generated or curated by us and do not represent real individuals, and any resemblance to a real person is unintended.

Your messages are sent to our AI providers to generate replies. Prompts and replies pass through automated moderation to enforce our content rules before they reach you.

4. How we use your information

We use collected information to operate, personalize, secure and support Textopia.

• To generate matches and conversations that fit your stated preferences and spice level.
• To maintain continuity — characters remember your name, past chats, level and shared moments.
• To track bond levels, XP, photo unlocks, dates and gem balance.
• To process purchases, subscriptions and entitlement restoration.
• To send notifications when a match messages you or a new drop is available.
• To moderate content, prevent abuse and enforce our age and content policies.
• To measure product performance and improve features using aggregated or de-identified data.
• To respond to support, billing, deletion and privacy requests.

5. Service providers

We share information only as needed to run the service, comply with law or protect rights. We do not sell your personal information.

• AI and moderation providers (including OpenAI) to generate and screen conversation content.
• Cloud hosting, authentication and database providers (Google Cloud / Firebase).
• Subscription and purchase infrastructure (Apple, Adapty).
• Product analytics, attribution and push notification providers (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Adjust, OneSignal).
• Legal or regulatory authorities where required by law or valid legal process.
• A buyer, investor or successor entity in a merger, acquisition, financing or asset sale.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes described here, legal compliance, dispute resolution and abuse prevention.

You can unmatch a character to remove that conversation, or delete your entire account from Settings. On account deletion we remove your profile, chats, unlocked media and progress within 30 days, except where retention is legally required. Purchased gems and subscription entitlements are non-transferable and are lost on deletion.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (EU/UK, California, Canada and others), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port or object to processing of your personal information.

8. Age restriction

Textopia is a 17+ application containing suggestive themes and mature romantic content. We ask for your birthday during onboarding and block users below the required age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe an underage user has created an account, contact us and we will review and remove it.

9. International transfers and security

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. We take commercially reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we revise the effective date and publish the updated version through the website or app.
